Ceekavarr
CARL MOSE Aka "Ceekavarr" is a solo/singer/songwriter/musician who has been playing the local Auckland circuit for a number of years. Ceekavarr's music varies from popular old school motown classic covers and Lenny Kravitz style rock athems to original melodic tunes. Over the years "Ceekavarr" has performed throughout the the Asian circuit and as part of a band has played support to U.K. Reggae/pop greats, UB40.

Muchach
Muchach is a rapper from Geneva (Switzerland) originally from Spanish and Peruvian descent. Muchach has been rapping for over 7 years now with his first album coming out in Switzerland back in September 2008.
The album "Slacker" has been a great success with all the production, promotion and distribution done totally independently. He has played live on stage more than 15 times last year with his partner in crime DJ Toots. For the future he has high expectations on finding a label.Muchach mixes French and Spanish to tell his stories about social and political issues. He is really concerned with illegal people struggle in his country as his family is involved. In addition the extreme right party, first party in Switzerland, is making many racist political campaigns with degrading pictures for foreigners.
Muchach is preparing for his second album which is coming out in February 2010.

Currently residing in the south of Jo’burg, Lyricist, Vocalist, Producer, Arranger and Rap Artist (to mention but a few), I consider myself 2 be quite an active person.
You can usually find me taking long walks, playing Cricket or Tennis with my overly competitive Father and Brother Ronald & Shaun respectively. I have 2 Brothers and 3 Sisters. Shaun, Quinton, Davida, Roxanne and Bethany are all highly talented individuals especially in the field of Music.
Not forgetting my timeless Mom, Belinda, to whom we pretty much owe it all to. I love you all.
My Musical influences vary at alternate stages from the likes of Stevie Wonder to that of Biggie Smallz.
I try not to restrict myself as an artist.
I met Walter Dias (aka Playboi) in High School. With him being a hugely talented Lyricist, we together decided to form “PlaySoulo”. An infusion of two very distinct elements to for this complete unit.
I do music not only because I need a new Playstation 3 (LOL), but also because of my huge attraction to, and love for the craft.

Waht Records
What Records is an independent music label formed to release material from The Black Leaf Studio in Mt Eden, Auckland, New Zealand.
Waht began in Sept 2008 with the simultaneous release of 2 separate albums The Black Leaf and Dusty Road and most recently Horizons (March 2010). The Waht sound is a raw blend of post-folk and soulful psychedelic pop-rock set amongst textured layers of electric bass, guitar and keys that draw on influences such as alt-country, psychedelic and prog rock + 90s british indie bands such as Ride, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, and The Stone Roses.

Surf Friends
Surf Friends are a band that formed early 2009 drawn together from their love of surfing and Flying Nun legends The Clean. Live, they are a powerhouse threepiece, strong on melody, driving bass and solid drumming. Their self titled debut EP is out now on Powertool Records and if that offering is anything to go by, you can expect huge things from the Surf Friends.
Surf Friends are Brad Coley (guitar, vocals, keyboard), Pete Westmoreland (bass, backing vocals).
Other influences in their sound are a mixture of Buzzcock style punk swaying to a dark brooding Jesus And The Mary Chain with the experimentation of early Lou Reed or the Yardbirds. Mixing songs up from looped samples and keyboard tracks to raw guitars incorporating the use of delay pedals creates a sound unique to the Surf Friends. The chemistry and bond is strong with these three surfing buddies .
For fans of ...... The Clean, The Verlaines, The Shrugs and Deerhunter. This December they are embarking on their first New Zealand tour. The second half will be supporting american indie rocksters The Black Watch. The Surf Friends self-titled debut EP is out now on Powertool Records.
