Rehearsal Rooms

We have three unique rehearsal spaces available for you to hire at very competitive rates. Each comes with a basic setup of 2 dynamic mics, 1 x Mackie PA and lots of big speakers. The Vic

A working cinema until just a few years ago, the majestic environs of the Victoria Theatre are available for bands to hire.

So if you want to see how your band sounds in a huge space, with chandeliers above you and all the funky art deco stylings you could wish for, get in touch.

Sadly, we can't put on gigs in the Theatre- only 12 people are allowed in the building at any one time because of building code restrictions. But you can always squint your eyes and imagine the seats are full of screaming fans...

Equipment provided includes a Tapco Mix 60 (2 mic, 2 line) mixer, 2 x 280W stereo BGW amplifiers, 2 double 15 inch JBL speaker cabinets and two JBL horns, as well as the obligatory two mics and stands. 

The Depot

The main studio room here at the Depot is also available as a rehearsal space. With a spunky new paint job for 2007, this room has been the birthplace of a lot of great music over the last few years.

It's also available to rent at any time of the day or night, so you don't have to disturb the nocturnal members of the band by dragging them around in the sunshine.

Equipment that comes with this space includes a Mackie 808s 1200W 8 channel powered mixer, 2 x Mackie C300 12" + horn speakers, as well as microphones and stands. We also have various bits and pieces lying around which you may be able to make use of if you ask nicely, such as a bass amp and a guitar amp- make sure you enquire about these in advance, though.

Kerr Street

Situated on the slopes of Mount Victoria (and with a mean view to match), the Kerr Street studios are a light, relaxed space for you to rock out in. It's just like your flat, only without dirty dishes everywhere- and minus the complaining neighbours.

Fringed by bush, shaded by a pohutukawa, a small kitchen facility for a cuppa... and did we mention the view?

The Kerr Street studio comes complete with a Mackie 808m (1200W) 8 channel powered mixer, 2 x Tapo 6912 12" speaker plus horn monitors, as well as two microphones and stands.
